Cherished Moments: Nina and John’s Unforgettable Westport Wedding

Saturday, May 27th, 2023, radiated with sunshine as Nina and John’s love story unfolded at a private Westport residence.  Nature seemed to unite its beauty with their shared affection.

Cocktail Hour Unveiled

Following a beautiful ceremony, we kicked off the evening with an incredible cocktail hour. Nina and  John’s intimate party of 50 mingled and enjoyed refreshments from the full open bar. The bar featured  two of our signature cocktails; the burnt pineapple tequila sunrise and our Burnt Orange Boulevardier. As well as a few passed snacks, including Smoked Trout with Ramp Labneh and Pork Belly with Snap Peas drizzled with Burnt Honey.  Cocktail hour also included our raw bar add-on where guests enjoyed Copps Island & Wellfleet Oysters hand shucked on site by Rachel from Precious Oysters. As well as Cold Smoked Shrimp, Marinated Mussels in Their Shell, and ceviche. 

Savoring Every Bite

As cocktail hour came to a close, guests were invited to take their seats for an unforgettable meal, family style. The first course began with Charred cabbage Caesar topped with Garlic Bread Crumbs, Sheep’s Milk cheese and a fish sauce dressing. As well as charred runner beans paired with creamy Cow’s Milk Burrata, drizzled with Brown Butter. For entrees, the coal roasted sea trout, and Slow Roasted Dairy Cow Strip Loin, with Charred Corn Chimichurri. The strip loin is sourced from a local farm 45 minutes away from our headquarters. Seasonal sides, like our Grilled asparagus and snap peas complemented each entrée.

Sweet Conclusions

The evening ended with Smoked Strawberries combined with Raw Sheep’s Milk Cream and Cacao Cake with Saba and Sumac, along with Blistered Maine Blueberries over Grilled Butter Bread and Condensed Milk Cream drizzled with Walnut Syrup for dessert.
