On October 15th, 2022, we find ourselves completely surrounded by the enchantment of autumn. The air is refreshing, bearing the unique scent of leaves that have descended. This period signifies nature’s shift, embellishing the Earth with shades of gold, orange, and red. It’s the perfect fall day for the wedding of Linda and Ray, set at the Book House at Foreland in Catskill, New York.
With its unique architectural features and artistic ambiance, the Book House at Foreland creates a magical and romantic atmosphere for a wedding. The combination of the exposed bricks, curved windows, and starry ceiling adds a touch of whimsy and elegance to the space.
Creekside Bliss and Culinary Delights
The day began with a beautiful creekside reception followed by an intimate cocktail hour inside the book house. Here, guests sipped on our signature cocktails including the Burnt Apple Boulevardier, and Burnt Pineapple Sunrise. Along with the cocktails, guests savored three passed snacks including; Trout Stuffed, Gochujang Preserved Peppers, Sambal Glazed Delicata Squash with Fried Garlic and Lime along with Smoked Beef Cap combined with Black Garlic and Charred Apples.
A Feast To Remember
Around six o’clock, the moment had come for an unforgettable buffet-style dinner service. . Heirloom Apples provide a nostalgic start, while Raw Cow’s Milk Burrata shines with Brown Butter, Sweet Soy, Pistachio, and Chili Oil. Grilled Cabbage & Radicchio Caesar adds a twist, Sheep’s Milk Pecorino and Miso enhancing flavors. Salted Cucumber meets Cold Smoked Shrimp, balanced by Sweet Chili, Thai basil, and Black Garlic Aioli. The Hoisin Glazed Whole Roasted Striploin stands bold, joined by Coal Roasted Seatrout. Grilled Broccoli Rabe and Winter Squash offer smoky simplicity, while Coal Roasted Eggplants intrigue with Burnt Honey, Hazelnuts, and Smoked Feta. Wood Fired Asian Style Rice concludes, a flavorsome finale.
A Sweet Finale
As the evening drew to a close, guests indulged in a dessert buffet including our Apple Tartine with Goat Butter, Reduced Cider, Black Pepper, and Brown Butter for an unforgettable treat.
